Doctors have been known to do some crazy things, like chopping off the wrong leg, leaving scissors inside people willy nilly, and giving people the wrong babies, but a recent complaint made by the family of 28-year-old Brit Lyndsey Scott shows that doctor’s today are really off their horses.
Scott, a sufferer of cystic fibrosis, died in February of pneumonia after receiving a lung transplant. Turns out the lungs were donated from a 30-year smoker! Really?
The family said that people should receive more information about where the organs come from. DUH! With people becoming more aware of situations like this it may be difficult for me to maintain my spot on the Tom Waits’ liver waiting list.
Maybe I should have every organ tatoo’d choice, good or shot! n
