Music Video: Caribou “Odessa”
Nick Nicoludis :: Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 3:25 pm
“Odessa” is the first single released from Caribou’s upcoming Swim album (due out 4/20/10) and it now has an amazing video to go with it. The nature oriented video, co-directed by Nic Brown of Video Marsh, is as haunting as it is gorgeous. The song feels like warm water surrounding you on the dance floor and doesn’t necessarily connote images of rams hanging out in the snow, a bloody woman looking for something or random winter scenes layered together. Still, it is absolutely beautiful in it’s imagery and cinematography. Maybe it’s the strange juxtaposition of a video that could be used for a number of death-metal bands because of it’s chilling imagery and a song that is dance-floor gold that makes this video so enrapturing. Check it out after the jump. MORE »
