Ted Haggard Starts New “Church,” Invites You To His House

Ted Haggard, the anti-gay, anti-drug former leader of the National Association of Evangelicals who was booted from his religious post for paying for sex with men and buying drugs, just invited you over to his house this Sunday. Literally.

Speaking on Wednesday, Haggard announced the formation of his new church. The “church,” which will not be affiliated with any denomination, mind you, will assemble at Haggard’s house, starting on Sunday. “”All are welcome,” said Haggard of the gathering at his house, “whether you’re a Democrat, a Republican, gay, straight, bi-[sexual] tall, short, addict, recovering addict.” Last time we checked, this doesn’t like church. Sounds more like a party.

So that about sums it up. If you feel like checking out the festivities, feel free to roll up to the party at Haggard’s place this Sunday. We haven’t been able to track down the exact address—only that it’s in Colorado Springs, Colorado. If you hear anything about the street address let us know.

See you at “church!” Wink wink!
