Tonight At The Guggenheim
SXB :: Friday, August 14th, 2009 2:19 pm
The Guggenheim has decided to get all cool this summer as part of its 50th anniversary celebration extravaganza.
Tomorrow kicks off the first in a series called It Came From Brooklyn, which features Brooklyn faves High Places and veterans The Walkmen (who incidentally live on the Upper West side not Brooklyn, but whatever we’re letting it slide).
The event will also feature celebrated Sag Harbor author Colson Whitehead reading selections from Walt Whitman poems, and will be hosted by comedian Leo Allen.
Tickets are pricey, but the novelty alone of seeing High Places rock the Guggenheim would make this well worth it, and the rest of the night sounds pretty great, too.
