Willie Nelson Joins Haircut Wars

Pot enthusiast and Maui resident Willie Nelson has joined the haircut wars, shearing off his signature braids in favor of an out-there grandpa look. He still looks look cool, but I’m not sure he can rock the bandana wrap anymore, which is a shame — I assume that’s where he stuck his tabs of LSD.

Lately, Nelson has become a totem for potheads and men of leisure. This is a shame. Nelson worked hard. He’s been playing music for fifty years. As a result, he has way too many albums, but he has a few you should own: Stardust, Always on My Mind (this is when he started looking like a maniac), and you should definitely own the song “On The Road Again.” One of the best pop songs of all time, better than “Reeling in the Years,” probably.

After the Robert Pattinson haircut “debut” and now Willie, who’s next. Josh Holloway could use a haircut. So could Spencer Pratt. Maybe when he’s getting haircut, someone can hit him over the head with a hammer.

  1. No way does “On the Road Again” beat “Reeling in the Years”.
