Jersey Shore Queer Cover Update

Recently it was reported that the guys from The Jersey Shore posed unwittingly for the cover of the Village Voice’s “Queer Issue.”

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has issued a statement, and it’s surprisingly tolerant, if unsurprisingly confounded: “It’s not for me to judge somebody’s sexual preference and in my opinion the SitUaTIoN looks good as hell and that is my main concern.”

We love this, and effectively immediately, we are co-opting “good as hell” into the office lexicon, i.e., this sandwich I got for lunch is good as hell.

Sorrentino continues, “It just so happens that The SitUaTiON has mass appeal and happily reaches a very broad audience - This is not my first cover and definitely not my last - SitUATIon NATION”

No explanation as yet as to the odd configuration of capital and lower-case lettering. We’re trying to figure out if S-U-A-T-I is a code in anagram for something. Probably not. Like most things involving The Jersey Shore, it probably just is what it is.
