Polvo will release their new album In Prism on September 8th via Merge Records. In Prism is their first studio album since 1997's Shapes. It's almost like the Chinese Democracy of indie rock, except they haven't actually been recording it since 1997. Polvo reformed in 2008 when Explosions in the Sky asked them perform at ATP. No worries friends, Free live bands are playing every Friday at the Seaport Music Festival at South Street Seaport pier 17 in lower Manhattan. Starting July 3, awesome bands such as Here We Go Magic and SUPERCHUNK will be featured in the lineup for this summer long music festival presented in collaboration with the River to River festival.
