Daft Punk's very first feature film is everything you might imagine from Peter Hurteau and Michael Reich - surreal, arresting, idyllic, strange, innovative, humorous at times, depressing at others, nonconforming, et cetera, et cetera. It's a fucking weird film but a gem, a moving story about two robots (played by Daft Punk, of course) who journey across American landscapes in what I can only assume is an attempt to become human. My favorite part is the scene below featuring a Todd Rundgren song. Not only is it awesome, but just the sound of it enticed our Creative Director to wander over and reveal his nerd-like tendencies for "The Rundgren."
